online safety
If you have any medical conditions or injuries that might affect your practice, please message me so we can discuss, no later than 2 hours before class.
As this is an online class I have limited ability to help and correct you. By taking part in an online class you take responsibility for the safety of your practise. Listen to your body and work to your level. Do not try anything you consider to be a challenge or dangerous. Nothing should hurt or be a struggle. A good tip is if you need to hold the breath or breathe very shallow, you are trying too hard.
As many of us are practising in confined spaces try to clear the area around you, and above you, for anything dangerous in case you were to lose balance or fall. e.g. furniture with sharp corners, breakable items or ceiling lights. Use a yoga mat to ensure you so not slip. It’s advisable for you to wear suitable yoga kit with bare feet, no socks.
once in class
1. Once booked I will send you the class code and link for access to the class.
2. Download the latest version of zoom
3. You can sign in to class up to 10 mins before the class starts.
To see me on the whole screen, and hide others, click the three dots on my screen video image and select ‘pin’.
Your microphone will be muted so all background noise is minimised during the class. If you need to speak with me you can unmute yourself, or give me a wave.
For your safety the video will be switched on so I can keep an eye on your alignment and offer individual verbal adjustments where needed. To allow me to do this please adjust the camera on your device so I can see you when standing and laying on the mat.
When the class has finished, feel free to leave, or if you have time unmute yourself and we can connect or ask questions. Select gallery grid view option (top right) and you will be able to see everyone.

to find a balanced mind
first enhance your outlook
then focus your inlook

first we breathe
With over 200 hours of Pranayama (breathing) training, and 1000’s more hours of practise, we have many techniques to offer. Everyday we practise something slightly different to prepare our body and mind for Meditation.
When we are healthy, our bodies systems support each other in perfect harmony; nervous, immune, cardiovascular, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive etc… They function autonomously, one could not exist without the other. The only system we can control, if we want to, is the breath. You could say breath is the most important function of our body. If you master control of the breath, you master your mind, body and emotions. Conversely if you let the breath behave automatically, it can endorse stress, make you more anxious or nervous.
then we meditate
Once our body & mind are both quiet and energised we meditate.
With over 1000 hours of Yoga and Meditation training, learning from the source in the Himalayan mountains India, we aim to find a technique that suit you.
Going through the stages one by one, to allow you to go deeper and deeper. Over time finding a state of true peace and calm within yourself. In the state of meditation, bringing deep knowledge and wisdom into your life.
Learning different meditation techniques so you can adapt and change methods as your practise develops. The aim of these classes is for you to; feel the benefits, form a habit, and ultimately develop your own meditation self practise.
the benefits
Modern science proves the positive changes breath control and meditation has on our body & mind. It lowers tension, creating a better mood, brings positive energy to our bodies systems, lowering harmful stress hormones, balancing blood pressure and improving sleep. Our daily practise activates our parasympathetic nervous system, and we move from “fight or flight” stress mode, to “rest and digest” healthy mode. In rest and digest mode we produce healthy hormones, such as dopamine & serotonin, providing a feeling of wellbeing. Our secondary systems are energised improving our digestion, immunity and sex drive.
Stress is the number one killer in the world today, so join us and find a happier, healthier life.
